Terms of Use (EULA)
Last updated: 5 August 2026
These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) form the agreement between you and Mile Arc Limited (“we”, “us”), the operator of Tarot Sanctum — the Tarot Sanctum app for iPhone and this companion website (together, the “Service”). By downloading, installing, or using the Service you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the Service.
1. Licence to use the app
We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Tarot Sanctum app on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, in accordance with the Usage Rules of the Apple Media Services Terms of Service. This licence does not permit you to copy, resell, sublicense, rent, reverse-engineer, or redistribute the app or its content, except where applicable law says otherwise.
Apple's Standard End User License Agreement also applies to your use of the app and is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Where these Terms are silent, Apple's standard EULA governs; where these Terms grant you more, these Terms apply.
2. What Tarot Sanctum is — and is not
Tarot Sanctum offers tarot as a tool for reflection, self-exploration, and entertainment. It is not fortune-telling, it does not predict the future, and it is never a substitute for professional medical, psychological, legal, or financial advice. Card artwork and written interpretations may be generated by AI models and can contain inaccuracies or unexpected results. You remain responsible for the decisions you make.
The Service is rated 13+ and is not intended for children under 13.
3. Your account
You can use the core app without an account. An account (Sign in with Apple) is needed for purchases, online readings, and creating or claiming decks. You are responsible for activity under your account. You may delete your account and its server-side data at any time in the app under More → Account, or by emailing info@milearc.com.
4. Auto-renewable subscriptions
Tarot Sanctum offers the following auto-renewable subscriptions, sold through Apple In-App Purchase in the subscription group “Tarot Sanctum Memberships”. Prices vary by country and currency. The exact price, billing period, and any applicable taxes are always shown in the app and on the App Store in your local currency before you confirm a purchase.
- Seeker — 1 month. Unlimited on-device readings and the full set of spreads.
- Oracle — 1 month. Everything in Seeker, plus online AI readings, follow-up questions, and a monthly token allowance.
- Professional — 1 month. Everything in Oracle, plus the deepest readings and no shuffle wait.
The following applies to all subscriptions:
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
- Each subscription renews automatically for a further one-month period at the then-current price, unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Your Apple Account is charged for the renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- You can manage your subscription and turn off auto-renewal at any time in Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions on your iPhone, or at apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
- Cancelling stops the next renewal. The period you have already paid for runs to its end and is not pro-rated or refunded.
- We do not currently offer free trials or introductory offers. If we ever do, the terms of the offer will be shown in the app before purchase, and any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited if you buy a subscription during that trial.
- If we change the price of a subscription, Apple will notify you and, where required, ask for your consent before the new price takes effect.
5. Generation tokens (one-time purchases)
Generation tokens are a consumable purchase sold in packs of 100, and you may buy several packs in a single transaction. In the app they are an in-app purchase billed by Apple, and the price is shown in your local currency before you confirm; on our website the same pack is billed by our payment provider in US dollars. Tokens are spent when AI-generated content is created — deck and card art, card animations, and reading videos.
Readings are charged differently on each platform, because only one of them sells a subscription. In the app, readings are included in your plan and never cost tokens. On the website there are no plans: drawing a spread and turning the cards is always free, and having the reading written costs 1 token, as does each follow-up question you ask about it. A new account is given one free reading. Where a reading cannot be written — a service failure or an unavailable model — you are not charged, and the token or free reading is returned.
- Token packs are a one-time purchase, not a subscription, and do not renew.
- Tokens do not expire for as long as your account exists.
- Tokens have no cash value, cannot be transferred, exchanged, or redeemed for money, and are non-refundable once a generation has run.
- Because AI image generation is probabilistic, we cannot guarantee a specific result — including the exact number of objects depicted on a card.
6. Website deck-generation purchases
Deck generation bought on our website is a separate one-time purchase processed by our payment provider — not by Apple — and is not part of any App Store subscription. The available generation options and their prices are shown on the website before you confirm a purchase. Apart from your statutory rights, these purchases are non-refundable once generation has begun.
7. Refunds
All App Store purchases — subscriptions and token packs — are sold by Apple, and refunds for them are handled by Apple rather than by us. To request one, go to reportaproblem.apple.com. Nothing in these Terms limits any non-waivable statutory refund or cancellation right you have under the consumer law of your country.
8. Your content and generated art
You keep ownership of the questions, notes, and style descriptions you write, and of the card art generated in decks you own, to the extent such rights exist under applicable law for AI-generated output. You grant us the licence we need to host, process, and display that content in order to run the Service — including showing a deck publicly if you choose to list it.
You must not use the Service to create or distribute content that is unlawful, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit involving minors, infringing of others' rights, or that impersonates a real person without their consent. We may remove content or suspend accounts that breach these rules.
9. The gallery
You may choose to publish a reading video to the public gallery. Publishing is always a deliberate act on your part, and it makes public exactly three things: the video, the caption you write, and your display name alongside the spread and deck the reading used. The question you asked and the written interpretation are not published, and are not stored on our servers.
By publishing, you grant us a non-exclusive licence to host, reproduce and display that video and caption for as long as it remains published, so that it can be shown in the gallery and previewed where its link is shared. You may unpublish at any time, which ends that licence for future display; copies others have already downloaded are outside our control.
Published videos are retained for as long as they remain published, rather than expiring on the ordinary schedule described in section 8. Unpublishing returns a video to that schedule. We may remove a published video, without notice, where it breaches the content rules above or is the subject of an upheld report.
10. Marketplace
The deck marketplace allows users to purchase pre-made decks.
11. Availability, changes, and termination
We may change, suspend, or discontinue features of the Service. We will not remove a paid subscription benefit for a period you have already paid for without offering a comparable benefit. We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms; you may stop using the Service at any time.
12. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, and we do not warrant that AI-generated readings or images will be accurate, complete, or uninterrupted.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim, or (b) £50 (or the equivalent in your local currency). Nothing here excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.
13. Apple
These Terms are between you and Mile Arc Limited only, not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content and has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for it. If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price of the app; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the app. Apple is not responsible for addressing any claim relating to the app, including product liability, regulatory non-compliance, and consumer-protection claims. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
14. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains what data we handle and why, and forms part of these Terms.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have non-exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, you keep the benefit of any mandatory consumer-protection provisions of the law of your country of residence.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with a new “last updated” date, and continued use of the Service after that date means you accept the updated Terms.
